PrintReadySheets vs Drip Apps: which gang sheet builder fits your shop?

PrintReadySheets vs Drip Apps' Build a Gang Sheet: pricing (flat fee vs 5% per order), file repair vs no file checks, platforms, workflow and support, compared side by side.

In short: Drip Apps' Build a Gang Sheet is an established Shopify builder with a solid layout feature set and a 5% per-order fee (capped at $12). PrintReadySheets adds what Drip's listing does not mention: it checks every file at print size and fixes it (upscaling, thin-line thickening, edge and background cleanup). It costs a flat €79 / $79 a month with no commission, and also runs outside Shopify.

Disclosure: we make PrintReadySheets. Information about Drip Apps comes from its Shopify App Store listing and website, checked on 15 October 2026.

Pricing: flat fee vs a share of every order

Drip charges 5% of the gang sheet fee, capped at $12 per order. For a small shop, that can be cheaper than a monthly plan. As you grow, it is the other way around.

Monthly gang sheet ordersAverage orderDrip fee (5%, max $12/order)PrintReadySheets
50$30$75$79
200$30$300$79
1,000$30$1,500$79
1,000$300$12,000 (cap reached)$79

The break-even point is around 53 orders a month at a $30 average. Above that, a flat fee costs less, and the gap widens with every order. Check Drip's current pricing on its listing; it may change.

What happens to a bad file

This is the biggest practical difference.

Drip's listing describes a capable layout tool, but it does not mention resolution checks, upscaling, background removal or any other file checks. A 72 DPI logo or a design with a white background goes onto the sheet as it is. Someone in your shop catches it in prepress, or it gets printed.

PrintReadySheets checks every upload at the size it will be printed. PixlPilot preflight then repairs what it finds:

  • Low resolution: upscaled with a model trained on digital artwork, so flat colours stay flat and edges stay hard.
  • Thin lines and small text: thickened so they hold on the garment.
  • Soft or semi-transparent edges: cleaned, so the print does not get a white halo on dark fabric.
  • Leftover backgrounds: removed.

The customer sees the fixed design on the sheet before they order, so you get fewer support emails and fewer reprints.

Interface and workflow

Both builders give customers a canvas to upload, size and arrange designs, with auto-fill. Drip offers sticker cut lines and a text tool with custom fonts, which PrintReadySheets does not. PrintReadySheets has a newer interface: a true-to-scale canvas with millimetre precision, live quality feedback per design, and the repair tools in the same flow. You can try both: PrintReadySheets has a 14-day trial and Drip a free plan.

Platforms

Drip is a Shopify app. PrintReadySheets is a Shopify app and a standalone web app, so shops can let customers who do not order through the store build sheets too, and teams can build sheets themselves without opening Shopify.

Support and reliability

Read the recent reviews of any app before you rely on it for production. Drip's listing includes recent one-star reviews describing slow support and, in two cases, lost access to the app after a dispute, which the developer responded to publicly. Drip also has many positive reviews over a longer history than ours. We are newer; you can reach us at hello@printreadysheets.com and through the support chat on the site.

When Drip Apps is the better choice

  • You want sticker cut lines or a text tool in the builder.
  • Your volume is low (under about 50 orders a month) and you prefer paying per order.
  • You value a longer review history over newer features.

When PrintReadySheets is the better choice

  • Customers send low-resolution, messy or AI-generated files, and you spend time fixing them.
  • You do more than about 50 gang sheet orders a month, or expect to.
  • You want a builder outside Shopify as well.
  • You want to stop paying a percentage of your revenue for software.

Switching from Drip Apps

  1. Start the 14-day trial or install the Shopify app.
  2. Set your sheet width and products.
  3. Test your worst recent customer files in FileFixxr.
  4. Add the builder block to your product page and run both apps side by side until you are confident.
